Measure for Measure
7 - 9 PM
Once a free and open society, Vienna is bitterly divided between high morals and the greed of commerce. Disguised as a monk, the Duke wanders the land, prying into the daily lives of his subjects. When his deputy sentences Claudio to death, the virtue and purity of his sister, Isabella, is the price she must pay to save her brother’s life. We learn through the Duke that mercy, understanding, and compassionate leadership are the keys to restoring harmony in any society. Measure for Measure will be directed by Artistic Director Stephen Burdman.
